ISAMATION was designed to provide the capability of rapid in-place compression and rebuilding of one or more MicroFocus COBOL (MFC) ISAM files. Periodically, active MFC ISAM files should be rebuilt to restore internal structures to optimal performance configurations. As a file grows, its index blocks may require compression to provide faster access to the data. A file may grow so large you will want to rebuild it and return unused internal space to the file system. If a file becomes corrupted due to hardware or software problems, it needs to be rebuilt. ISAMATION solves these problems.

If you aren’t an expert and don’t know what is wrong, but your system is just not working like it should, ISAMATION’s expert design will provide easy to understand information that will allow you to make common sense decisions.
