Unimation is designed to automatically rebuild Unidata dynamic file structures. Unimation performs the file rebuild:

in an easy to use fashion,
usually without requiring any additional disk space,
resulting in less overall disk space usage, and
faster than existing methods.

All of the files in a specific VOC file may be rebuilt by simply executing one command. Since Unimation uses the existing file space as its work area, the rebuilding operation can usually be performed without requiring any additional disk space. Once the rebuild has completed, the files are usually smaller and often dramatically smaller. The rebuilding is performed using advanced sorting algorithms and so is faster than existing methods. Optionally, only the data file or the index file may be rebuilt.
